Hungover, a pop-punk band from the Sunshine State of Florida decided that 2016 will be their year. Even though it’s only April, they already are recording new songs as well as playing a handful of shows one of them being with Myspace superstars, Broadway. If you think Hungover is just your average pop punk band, you are sadly mistaken. In this edition of Daily Dish, we speak about what’s really spicy and sweet in Florida.

Shana Davidson: Tell us about the last song you listened to.
H: The new Saosin song “The Silver String.” We’re very glad they’re back and making music again.

SD: I’m super stoked they’re making music as well! So what was the last thing you ate?
H: Jimmy Hula‘s! It’s a taco-fusion place!

SD: I love tacos–my definite favorite food! Where’s your next show? Tell us about it!
H: Not too sure yet. We’re taking a break for a few months to rehearse the new songs we’ve written so that we can come back and better than ever with a new set!

SD: I think that’s really awesome to do. If your music were edible, what words would you use to describe it? Which song should we check out first?
H: We’ve got flavors that are spicy and sweet. They compliment each other well and hit multiple parts of your taste buds. Definitely check out our new single, “Girlfriend.” It’s fresh out of the kitchen and the first dish we’ve served on our new menu.

SD: Now since this is Daily Dish, you need to share with us your favorite food item from your favorite local restaurant back home. Go!
H: As a unit, we love Tijuana Flats. You can always catch us at Taco Tuesday after a rehearsal. You honestly can’t beat their blackened chicken and refried beans on a wheat tortilla. Plus, they have a sauce bar that’s home to the best Sweet Chilli Sauce we’ve ever had.
